| When my Father was transported to the hospital from the nursing home where he lives, his hearing aid was lost. I told the nursing home to find a local company and request a price for a replacement. The local price came in at $1100. I told the nurse I was going to do some checking on another price.
I checked The DHS Club VIP Benefits Center to see if they had a hearing aid company. I contacted the company listed and to make a long story short it cost me only $499.00, a fantastic savings to my bank account. After this experience I decided to see what I was buying on a regular bases and found that I was using a lot of cartridges for my printer. Locally the black cartridge cost me $26.00 and the colored cartridge cost me $36.00. So, I checked at The DHS Club Shopping Mall and now I pay $9.95 for the black cartridge and $13.95 for the color cartridge. In the future I will be checking for things I buy on a regular basis and shopping at the DHSC ClubShop Mall. | When I needed new glasses, I remembered that vision is part of our benefits package. My insurance pays for the exam but only $50.00 towards glasses.
So I called the toll free VIP Shopping Service Number and they gave me my vision discount number right over the phone. I returned to Pearl Vision to purchase my glasses that originally cost $378.00. By the time they took all the discounts we get with the vision benefit I saved $189.00 on my glasses. I got them for half price even though I got the progressive lens, they are also bifocals, and my frames are nickel free due to an allergy to nickel. So for me the vision package is well worth the price of membership and the fee. By saving $189.00 that paid for my $49.95 membership and $139.05 in monthly fees, almost 6 months worth of fees! To me this is a great deal. I have others savings also. Since I have been a member I have literally saved over $2000.00 in benefits and discounts.
